Srinagar, January 06 (KNO) : All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, paying rich tributes to the victims of Sopore massacres on their 24th anniversary, demanded impartial investigation into all the gruesome massacres by the international agencies. Criticising international community, Syed Ali Geelani said that their silence over these gruesome and heart wrenching incidents is painful and their tall claims and rhetoric for their fight against state sponsored terrorism proved mere hoax. Geelani said that the spirits and courage of people of occupied state are commendable as during all this period they faced the worst situations at the hands of Indian armed forces. We are duty-bound to safeguard all the sacrifices offered by people, added Geelani. People are being killed on mere pretext and in fake encounters and while commenting over the gruesome Sopore massacre, Geelani added. Expressing his dismay over the salience maintained by international community and while demanding investigation by the United Nations sponsored war crime tribunal of all the massacres in Kashmir, Geelani said that Indian armed forces were committing serious war crimes in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the common man in Kashmir will continue to suffer till the international community takes serious action in this regard. He said, “The great nations never forget their martyrs and they continue their struggle for which the martyrs have sacrificed their lives.” He reiterated that the Kashmiris would not compromise on their mission.
